A veteran in the golfing and club industry, Peter’s has spent more than thirty years on the golfing scene in Singapore and China. His professional commitment spurred him as a pioneer member of the Club Managers Association Singapore (CMAS) where he made much commendable contributions to the development of this profession through various positions in the Executive Committee.

For these, he received industry recognition through his achievement of the Club Manager of the Year (2004). As a sportsman, Peter had represented Singapore in the 7th SEAP Games and the Asian Athletics Championships in 1973, and fully understands the needs of young athletes. His involvement with youths through sport has enabled him to win notable awards such as Outstanding Young Singaporean (1971) and the Sporting Inspiration Award (2004).

He had also contributed to Singapore sports having served in the Republic Polytechnic School of Sports, Health and Leisure (SHL) Advisory Committee. Peter’s passion and interest in sports participation by underprivileged youths stemmed from his days as a student pursuing a Masters degree in Recreational Management with a dissertation on “Adolescents from Poor Families and Their Participation in Sports”.

Is it a surprise to know that he pioneered the youth golf programme with the late Tay Cheng Khoon in 1997.
