One of the pioneers and long time campaigner for Youth Golf, she has been appointed as advisor to the 2013 Junior Golf Development programme of the Singapore Golf Association.

She initiated the junior development squad for girls in 2002 and developed the Singapore Ladies Golf Association’s Junior Training Programme. Some of these youths have now turned Professional in Teaching and Touring circuit.

Her experience covers the development of a National Women’s Golf Team to the first ASEAN Schools Golf Championship in 2003, Queen Sirikit Cup in 2004 and 2005 and the SEA Games in 2005 where she steered the team as their Team Manager.

She served on the Board of the Singapore Sports Council from 2004-2012, the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Board from 2005-2008. Currently sitting on the Board of Governors of Republic Polytechnic since 2005, she is Chairperson to its Advisory Board of the School of Sports Health and Leisure as well as the school’s Institutional Review Board.

An ex-National golfer, her interest in sport also extends to running marathons. She is by profession a Family Physician. Her medical and sports experience have helped her develop the holistic Youth Golf Training Programme. The effectiveness of this training programme is seen in the National golfers that have graduated from it, namely Johnson Poh, Kok Jo Ee, Koh Sock Hwee, and Joey Poh , just to name a few.

For her unstinting work and support to the community she has been awarded the Sporting Singapore Inspirational Award in 2004 and the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Award in 2008.
