A privileged rare opportunity with Tiger

2-8It was a wonderful privilege for three trainees from the Laguna National Youth Golf Programme to be invited to a closed door golf clinic on a Thursday morning at the World Classic on 11 November 2011.

The privileged golfers were Koh Sock Hwee , now an Alumni member of the Laguna National youth Golf Programme, Phoebe Nicole Tan from Victoria Junior College and Jen Goh, a trainee of the Youth Golf Excellence Programme.

Tiger Woods was in good spirits in the cool slightly overcast morning. Sporting a white Nike Polo with grey chequered Bermudas, it was a light-hearted  session where he  shared his experiences on training, gave valuable tips on advanced golf shots and most of all he had a very good sense of humour sprinkling  the answers to the many questions posed by the guests at the golf clinic.  He was surprisingly not the serious- looking Tiger we have been watching on the Tour. This was the other side of him that we never knew existed.

When he met up with our young golfers, he lent each of them his putter to try. Sock Hwee triumphantly holed her putt with it!
